Frequently Asked Questions
Why 18g?
18 grams is a widely used standard dose for a double espresso.
It produces a balanced extraction when brewed at a 1:2 ratio — typically yielding about 36 grams of espresso in the cup.
This ratio allows the coffee to express its sweetness, body, and clarity, creating a well-rounded shot that works beautifully on its own or in milk drinks.
At VASO Roast, the 18g portion reflects our belief in simplicity and consistency — a small measure designed to help you start your daily ritual with the right balance. One cup at a time.
